"Captain's Challenge (2809) - This week on the Journal two professional guides spend the morning in pursuit of the sporty speckle trout. On Gear Time they discuss the tackle they used to catch fish. And we'll join Donna Reynolds in the kitchen for a trout recipe.

"Hot Summer Stripers" (2810) - On this edition of the Journal we'll target Striped bass in deep water using fly rods. On Gear Time our anglers discuss the tackle needed to fish deep when the weather is hot. In the kitchen Donna Reynolds prepares a tasty venison sausage recipe.

April 13

"Structured Sheepshead" (2811) - This week on the Journal we'll fish for the sporty Sheepshead around bridge pilings. On Gear Time our anglers will discuss the tackle needed and we'll join Donna Reynolds in the kitchen for a Southport sandwich recipe.

April 20

"Falls Lake Deep" (2812) - On this edition of the Journal we'll fish deep water structure for largemouth bass. On Gear Time our anglers will discuss the lures, rods & reels and what to look for on the depth finder. Donna Reynolds prepares venison meatloaf in the kitchen.

"Short Bite Stripers" (2813) - This week on the Journal we fish the Cape Fear River for Striped bass using slashbaits. On Gear Time our anglers discuss the lures that proved to be productive. And we'll join Donna Reynolds in the kitchen for a shrimp pasta bake recipe.

May 4

"Cape Bluefish" (2814) - On this edition of the Journal we'll throw topwater lures for 10-12lb. bluefish within sight of the Cape Lookout lighthouse. On Gear Time our anglers discuss the tackle you will need to catch fish that size. And we join Donna Reynolds in the kitchen for a salmon recipe.

"Late Winter Yellow Perch" (2815) - This week on the Journal we'll target the popular yellow perch using light tackle. On Gear Time our anglers discuss the tackle they used to catch fish and we'll join Donna Reynolds in the kitchen for a Wild Turkey pot pie recipe.

"Wind Proof Specks"(2801) - This week on the Journal we will dodge the wind and head up a coastal creek for speckle trout. On Gear Time our anglers will discuss the tackle they used to catch some nice trout. In the kitchen Donna Reynolds prepares a crab quiche recipe.

May 25

"Stripers on Top"(2802) - On this edition of the Journal we will target Striped Bass using top water lures early and switch to sub surface later in the morning. On Gear Time our anglers discuss the lures that caught fish. Donna Reynolds prepares a stuffed striped bass recipe in the kitchen.

June 1

"Autumn Flounder" (2803) - This week on the Journal we fish late in the fall season for the sporty and tasty Flounder. On Gear Time our anglers discuss the type of equipment you will need to be successful. In the kitchen Donna Reynolds prepares a flounder recipe that is sure to catch your attention.
