Carolina Outdoor Journal is a weekly outdoor show featuring the very best in freshwater fishing and saltwater fishing across the state of North Carolina.  Also featured is a cooking segment that highlights the very best in outdoor recipes.


Currently in its 19th season on UNC-TV, the Journal is North Carolina’s only statewide outdoor program, the Journal appeals to a very diverse audience.


The Journal reaches it’s audience weekly on the University of North Carolina Television Network.  This PBS system reaches every corner of North Carolina as well as parts of South Carolina, Virginia and Tennessee.  Air times are Saturday afternoons at 5:30 P.M. and Sunday mornings at 11:00 A.M.

Shot and produced in 1080i High Definition, the Carolina Outdoor Journal now brings the Carolina outdoors to the viewer with a bigger and sharper picture - the way the outdoors should be viewed.


It is a known fact that North Carolinians enjoy the outdoors.  With the great outdoor diversity that the state enjoys, it is not surprising that a large percentage of its population are outdoor enthusiasts.  You can fish the warm waters of the Gulf Stream for marlin one day and pursue rainbow trout in the mountains the very next day.  All of this in one state - North Carolina.
