March 23, 2019 – “Bass’n with Frogs” – this week we fish for largemouth bass using topwater frogs in heavy cover. This is a productive method for catching bass almost every month of the year. On Gear Time our angler’s will discuss the frog lures and how to fish them. And Donna Reynolds serves up a tasty shrimp recipe in the kitchen.

March 30, 2019 – “Big Reds” – on this edition of the Journal we’ll fish the Pamlico Sound for giant Red Drum, one of the largest fish found in those waters. On Gear Time our angler’s explain how to rig fresh bait to catch and handle these large fish. And we’ll join Donna Reynolds in the kitchen for a tasty casserole recipe.

April 6, 2019 – Deep Water Bass”- on this edition of the Journal we’ll fish deep on Jordan Lake for largemouth bass. In gear time our anglers discuss the lures that caught fish. And Donna Reynolds prepares a lemon baked fish recipe in the kitchen.

April 13, 2019 – Surf Zone Red Drum” – this week on the Journal we’ll target red drum in the surf during a cold day in January. On Gear Time we’ll take a look at what lure caught the fish and then join Donna Reynolds in the kitchen for a catfish recipe.

April 20, 2019 – “Trout Lesson – Rainbow Trout” – on this edition of the Journal we travel to the mountains with a lady angler in search of her first rainbow trout. On Gear Time our anglers discuss the equipment they used and Donna Reynolds prepares a duck recipe in the kitchen.

April 27, 2019 – “Crickets & Worms” – this week on the Journal we’ll re-visit a farm pond with two young men. On Gear Time we’ll discuss the tackle that is needed to fish a pond and join Donna Reynolds in the kitchen for a fish recipe.

May 4, 2019 – “Autumn Speckle Trout” – on this edition of the Journal we’ll fly fish for speckled trout off the Neuse River. On Gear Time we’ll find out what flies worked the best and then join Donna Reynolds in the kitchen for a tasty grouper recipe.

May 11, 2019 – “Cape Fear Shad” – Join us this week as we fish the Cape Fear River for the sporty American White Shad. On gear time our anglers discuss the tackle and lures they used to catch the fish. And we’ll join Donna Reynolds in the kitchen for a cornbread recipe.

May 18, 2019 – “Light for Kings” – on this edition of the Journal we’ll fish the Crystal Coast for the sporty King Mackerel. On Gear Time our anglers discuss how they rigged up and we’ll join Donna Reynolds in the kitchen for a grilled venison recipe.

May 25, 2019 – “Stripers on Top” – this week on the Journal we target Striped Bass using topwater lures early and switch to subsurface later in the morning. On Gear Time our anglers discuss the lures that caught fish and we’ll join Donna Reynolds in the kitchen as she prepares a stuffed Striped Bass recipe.

March 31, 2019 – “Surf Tips” – this week on the Journal seasoned surf fishermen share a few tips on successfully fishing the surf zone. In Gear Time they will discuss the tackle needed and we’ll join Donna Reynolds in the kitchen for a salmon recipe.

April 7, 2019 – “Popping Cork Drum”- on this edition of the Journal we’ll use a productive technique to catch the large red drum of Pamlico Sound. On Gear Time our angler’s discuss the new rig and we’ll join Donna Reynolds in the kitchen for a shrimp citrus recipe.

April 14, 2019 – “September Surprise” – this week on the Journal we’ll fish Shearon Harris Lake for largemouth bass. In Gear time our angler’s discuss the day and what they used to catch fish. In the kitchen, Donna Reynolds serves up Fish & Chips.

April 21, 2019 – “Gulf Stream Charter” – this week we venture offshore targeting yellowfin tuna and have to make a change. In Gear Time our angler’s discuss the adjustments made to catch fish. In the kitchen, Donna Reynolds serves up a grilled mahi-mahi recipe.

April 28, 2019 – “Catawba Drift” – on this edition of the Journal we drift a stretch of the Catawba River for mountain trout. On Gear Time our angler’s discuss the drift and the flies that caught fish. Donna Reynolds serves up a Rainbow Trout recipe in the kitchen.

May 5, 2019 – “Winter Reds” – this week on the Journal we’ll target red drum in the shallows after a cold weather event. Our anglers discuss how they fished and what they used to catch fish on Gear Time. And Donna Reynolds prepares a shrimp cake recipe in the kitchen.

May 12, 2019 – “Fly Fishing Shad” – on this edition of the Journal we’ll travel to the Roanoke River to fly fish for Hickory Shad. On Gear Time our anglers discuss the flies and tackle needed to catch shad. In the kitchen, Donna Reynolds serves up a fried oyster recipe.
